Tallypane reads your costs from the cost report in Anthropic’s Admin API. It needs an Admin API key, because that’s the only kind the cost report accepts, and it only ever uses it to read billing data.
Your app and its requests stay exactly as they are. Add the key once and Tallypane keeps your costs in sync.

Which Anthropic key does Tallypane need?
An Admin API key, because Anthropic’s cost report only accepts admin keys. Tallypane uses it only to read cost data. Once saved, the key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never sent back to the browser — you only ever see its last four characters.
Does refreshing my Anthropic costs cost anything?
No. Anthropic’s cost report is free to query, so refreshing your numbers costs nothing.
Does Tallypane see my prompts?
No. It reads only the cost report — amounts per day, account and model. It never sees prompts, completions or your API traffic.
Can I track Anthropic and OpenAI together?
Yes. Both sync today and add up into one month-to-date total and one forecast for next month.
When does the hosted version open?
